Shaun Leane’s Quill Couture Earrings combine the highest level of artistry and originality with the flamboyance of couture. Leane uses palladium, a rarity for high jewellery, effecting a sleek polish, more reflective than platinum. Over 1,000 brilliant-cut white diamonds are micro pavé-set into a 360 degree facade, seen from all angles.

The Quill Courure Earrings’ technical virtuosity highlights the mastery of the artist’s craft: The double-edged Quill is an elegant yet dangerous curve, and one of Leane’s signatures; created for the Alexander McQueen SS’03 show 'Irere', it was an expansion on the pointed aesthetic he had been curating with McQueen.
The porcupine-inspired shape is reverent to the House of Shaun Leane codes; dramatic spikes, androgynous cuts and a modern sensibility. Leane’s update for evening sees lines softer; symmetrical framing of the face; an elongated neck. This is not just jewelled armour, it is Shaun Leane glamour.
